The following applications for land m blocks 2 and 3, Longwood, wore grant, ed under "The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act' --Mrs M. A. Mullen, Mrs K. Black. W. Brown, P. J. I'eterson. W. T. Peterson, A. King, and J. Shanks; and under the same Act. A. Campbell obtained 30 acres in block 8, Walkawa. G. P. Flanagan applied for a title to sec 15. block 25. Longwood, the Warden's report being favourable, provided the .small creeks aro reserved— Minister to be recommended to approve of same. The holdings of 10 lessees under the Land for Settlement Act, were forfeited for nf/i payment of rent, and it was decided to call on 18 lessees of endowment lands to show cause why their leases should not be forfeited ; also G lessees for non-compliance with condi-

Forfeiture in regard to sees 31, 31a, and 32, block i. Mabel Hundred, was rescinded.

The Receiver was authorised to pay over to the Stewart island Couoty Council thirds and fourths accrued from Ist November, 1902, to 31st January, 1903, amounting to &9 0s Bd.
