The fortnightly meeting was attended by Messrs John Hay (Chief Commissoner), A. Kinross. J. Mclntyre, and D. King. , , It was resolved that ttte Government be recommended to permanently reserve sees. 38, 38a, 39 and 40, block 4, Campbelltown Hundred, for railway purposes. Tho Wallace County Council forwarded ft list of eight lessees who have not paid rates duo last July. -Lessees to be sent notices in accordance with Act. Mrs J. B. Sopers' offer of £10 per annum for pastoral rut.. No. 394 a,, Eyre district, was declined. The Stock Inspector. Riverton, wrote stating that the gorse has beeu cut on certain Crown sections in Wrey's Bu B h township, and suggested that they b« sold.-To bo reduced to £12 per acre and ro-offered at auction. E. Dunston'«s application to lease island of 50 acres in Mataura river was hold over for ranger's report. The Department notified that by Order-ia-Council tho limit of holdings in Myross Bush village settlement is Increased to 15 acres— Received. McLamchlan Bros, offered £4 for right to cut the remaining timber on reserve adjoining sees. 8 and 9, block 5, Campbelltown llundred.-Ueferred to range.

X A Niederer requested permission to make tramway through sec. 4, block 9 Oteramika Hundred. -Approved, provided no prior rights arc interfered with. In accordance with Hanger Lam|»beU a report, it was resolved that sec 11.. block 20. Invercargill Hundred, bo offered on the optional system as rural land at 108 per acre. Ranger Campbell, having reported favourably on Broad, Small & Co.'s offer for the remaining sawmilling timber on sees 81. and 82. block 23. InvercargUl Hundred, the application was granted. Tho following applications for land were granted :-E. Willcock, sees. 17 18 and 19 block 3. Campbelltown Hundred • A. McHride, see. Wairio ; J. J. Uegefsky. jr.. sees 21. 22 and 23. block $. Winton Hundred; C. II • JClare, sees.. 5. fi. and 7a, block o, Campbelltown Hundred; .T. Marrah, se=. 71 block 5. Invercargill Hundred ; Walter and Win. Glover, sec. 30. block 4 Campbelltown Hundred ; and J. HHolmes, sec 22. block 4, Otara. J Arthur's application to cancel his lease of part of sec. 13, block 13. Longwood, was complied with. The following applications for land m blocks 2 and 3, Longwood, wore grant, ed under "The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act' --Mrs M. A. Mullen, Mrs K. Black. W. Brown, P. J. I'eterson. W. T. Peterson, A. King, and J. Shanks; and under the same Act. A. Campbell obtained 30 acres in block 8, Walkawa. G. P. Flanagan applied for a title to sec 15. block 25. Longwood, the Warden's report being favourable, provided the .small creeks aro reserved— Minister to be recommended to approve of same. Tho following transfers were approvedSec. 21, block 1, Wrey's Bush, from J. McCoy to Rosanna McCoy ; sees. 5 to 9. and 10 to 14, block 6, Flint's Bush, Mrs E. I'oley to 11. B. Stuart ; sac. 138, block 1, Paterson, W. Pullar to Mrs K. Martin : sees. 3 to 0, and 125 to l£-7, block 1. Paterson, C West to C. Rankin and YV. D. Singer.
Mrs V: A. Alderson was granted a title over sec, 107, block 2. Longwood.
The holdings of 10 lessees under the Land for Settlement Act, were forfeited for nf/i payment of rent, and it was decided to call on 18 lessees of endowment lands to show cause why their leases should not be forfeited ; also G lessees for non-compliance with condi-
tions
Forfeiture in regard to sees 31, 31a, and 32, block i. Mabel Hundred, was rescinded.
The Receiver was authorised to pay over to the Stewart island Couoty Council thirds and fourths accrued from Ist November, 1902, to 31st January, 1903, amounting to &9 0s Bd.
The balance of the business was transacted in committee, and tho Board ud-
journed
