In the Valley of Kibas, in tho Eastern Pyrenees, there lives a race of dwarfs. They .ire styled Nanos by the other natives. Their hair is red, their chins square and large, their cheek-bones are high, their eyea are like a Chinaman's, their face is full, and their skin pale and loose. The men have hardly any beard. The other inhabitants mock them constantly, and this forces them to live by themselves.
