BLUFF HARBOUR.
There were no shipping movements at this port yesterday. The Theresa Ward made her weekly trip to Stewart Island yesterday. The Tyser liner Star of Australia makes Bluff her port of departure for London. The s.s. Canopus, built to the order of the Westport Coal Co., was launched from the yard of Messrs C. S. Swan and Hunter on March 12th. She has been designed to carry a deadweight cargo of 1600 tons on a draught of 15 feet 6in, and her speed is expected to be 11 knots. The s.s. Gracchus, 3822 tons, will, it is reported, load produce in this -colony during May for Durban, a/rid will carry passengers, but the ports of call have not yet been decided. The Gracchus will be followed by the Darins in June or July. Mr M. Button, caretaker of the Bluff Sailors' llest, desires to thank the committee of the Invercargill Athenaeum for a substantial parcel of books, and Miss McGill for a picture, the proceeds of the latter, when sold to be devoted to the bagatelle table fund.
