4 Per United Press Association. AUCKLAND. April 30. Mr Carroll, Native Minister, met Kuno anrl a party of .six yesterday. Kuao insisted .on the complete wirhdrawal of the land in dispute from tho jurisdiction of 'the Maori ToiinciJ . Me Carroll agreed to re-open investigation to t*nnt>lc Kuay to place any grievance before the com-miltuc ; but refused ahsolutvly to withdraw a cam: right lj- lx.-I'oro thi? couvmitteo, and which had liccu rightly dealt with. The committee then sat. alt the claimants appearing, and determined by a resolution that tho land belonged to tho ancestors of the claimants, who were entitled to Micc'ectl- The re^t of the investigation was loft for it future aitting. Kuao was not present, being rC-preseuled by tho iJaiawa tribe. The result is a, vindication of tho law.
