Per United Press Association.

WELLINGTON, April 38. Tho Commissioners appointed to enquire into the charges against Mr King. j Uegistrar of Electors at Auckland; have reported. They find that none of tha charges were substantiated/ and therefore they have no recommendation to make to the Governor. They state that Mr King's not being r©preiseiitetik- ; 'by counsel placed him. at some dlsa<lvan- " vantage. Mr King had. only from the middle 'of September to October 6th to prepare the rolls, and the Commissioners consider that the shortness of time and. the attempted combination of-, economy and expedition) the elasticity in the interpretation -of" the law, and accuracy, seem to have contributed to errors' and omissions charged against Mr King. Hart there been more time tho errors WOWd have .been overcome. The evidence pkowed that Mr King V personal 7 attitude had been conciliatory and though some of his letters might tie criticised. The Commissioners; spiking generally of the charges, express the opinion that there was no evidence to support a eharg4 of corrupt motive ; and that there was <no evidence th^t-Mr King discriminated bettween the parties claiming enrolment. Tho Commissioners make some comiueot o» the charge of inserting a name on the Grey X»ynn roll after the issue of the writ. On i this, matter they say there was a wiasa 'of contradictions on both aides, and othe whole circumstances, are unsatisfactory and suspicious. ..■.■■»■ ■ -. i.
