SYDNEY, April 27
The (,'ootumundra phenomenon appears to ha.ye been in the shape of an enormously powerful electric discharge which was attracted by tho telegraph wires, which it followed till it reached the telegraph office, where the current was broken. The office was considerably damaged. Then it crossed other streets smashing trees and damaging buildings. The rumbling noise was preceded by a loud explosion and accompanied by reddish light, resembling fireball.
