Our Tramway
To the Editor
Sir.— l notice with thankfulness that some of the travellers of the sterner sex have taken the matter of our tramway in hand. 1 hope their animadaversiona will load to some improvement. If tho joltings ami rattlings are. a -.natter of inconvenience lo ibe nartfier portion ol the travellers, what are they to tho weaker vessels ? The anticipations of a journey in the tram is to some of us
somewhat akin to those preceding a journey on a rough and stormy sea, and when tho destination is reached our exclamation is "Thank Goodness that is safely over!" If the effect of these various letters is the mending of their ways, 1 hope especially the- proprietors will not forget the stones 'on tho road, for the stone-crushing incidental to our present travelling does jar on our poor nerves. It, would he advisable, also for the company to issue a new Uiue-tablo Some of the times are not run as published. I would notice particularly tho 7.45 pm , which always runs ten minutes earlier. Thoro may bo others, but this is a particularly sore one with, me, as losing it means a long walk, and late for 8 o'clock meeting in town.— l uni, etc., LADY TRAVELLER. JftvonjargilJ, S«q April,
