A certain Herr. Wittenberg recently gave a concert in Berlin.' He was much' applauded and on the next day he' was startled to receive no fewer than- thrco offers of marriage from •young ladies who had been present at! his concert.
One offer wa* Thado in perton, while the other two ladies proposed through the medium of their parents, who informed th« unsuspecting pianist, how much tkeir daughters bad been captivated "by his playing, enclosed their: photographs, and stated how mu^. dowry would accompany the would-be wives. All three offers came from rich Jewesses.
