; Wellington, Jan. 27. The carpenters of the city feel much aggrieved by the. recent award of the Arbitration Court affecting their trade, and held a nass meeting to night to consider the situation. The opinion was gem-raily expressed hat a carpenter should not be paid loss thati Is. 6d per hour, and a" resolution was passed axpressing the opinion tJ»At the award was contrary to the weight <f evidence and dejlariog the Arbitration Court nnwerthy of oonfiience. A motion in favour of withIrawing from work was Dot seconded, but it was decided to demand Is 61 per hour from .he beginning of Jtbruary.
