WELLINGTON. Dec. 15.
In April last the Wanganui Education B ard passed a resolution conveying reflactio is on teachers engaged in a case which came before the Appeal Court, ana copies wore sent to tho Minister of Education, the Educational Institute, and o her Education Boards. The toacheis took umbrage at tho statements made in the resolution and legal proceedings were threatened. The Bond has since rescinded the resolution, expunged it from the nrnutes, and passed a resolution of > egret at their-action in placing the re solution on record. HOKITIKA, Dec. 15.
A serious accident is icpoited from Kumara. A young man, Fredei ick Richards, while handling a pea rille, accidentally sho his mother in the back, the ball passing through her abdomen. Thecaseiscanaideied serious. Later. Mrs W. T. Richards, of Kumara, who was accid.ntally shot by her son of 18 years on Saturday, succumbed to her injuries this evening.
