On and after Monday, the Bth inst., tho rates via Pacific to West Indies, Central and South America, will be as follows : —Via Vancouver and Halifax to West Indies, An tiqua, 5s Old per word—Barb.idoes 5s 11 A<l, St. Croix 6s sd, St. Kitts 5s 1041, St. Lucia 5s St. Thomas 6s 2d, St. Vincent 5s 9d, Trinidad 6s 3d. British Gu’ana, Georgetown and other offices 8s 2d, Colon and Panama 6s 2Jd, Dominic 5s [4jd, Granada 5s 104d—Central America, via Galveston, Costa Rica, 5s 3ld Guatemala; Jan Jose, 4s 3d, other offices 4s 54d. Honduras 4s IOJd, Nicaragua, San Juandel Sur, 5s id ; other offices 5s 3|d. Salvador Libertad 4s 8d ; other offices 4s 104 d. South America, via Galveston, Argentine Republic, all offices 6s Id. Bolivia, all offices 7s 4jd. Ecuador an offiers 7s 4£cl, Paraguay all offices 6s 4d, Peru all offices 7s 4Jd. Colombia Bueno Ventura, 6s Bid ; Colon and Panama 6s 2Jd, other offices 6s lid. Uruguay, all offices, 6s 4d. Brazil, Alemquer, Itakoatiara, Manaos, Obidos, Paratins, 8s 2Jd ; Breves Camito, Chaves, Gurupa, Macapa, Monte Wosqueiro, Pinheircs, Santarem, Soure, 7s 4|d > Chili, all offices, 7s IJd ; Pernambuco, 6s Id ; other offices, 6s 64d. These rates were only advised to-day. VIA EASTERN EXTENSION. From Bth inst. the rates via the Eastern Extension Co., as indicated in the Postal Guide for October, will be subject to the following reductions : —Great Britain ami Europe ordinary telegrams, fourpence per word ; British and French Governments, threepence per word ; Press, twopence per word to all places in South America (except Buena, Adventura, and Colombia, Atlantic, the new rates for which are eight shillings aud sixpence and eight shillings and ninepence per word respectively) ; fourpence per word to all places in the West Indies (except Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Marie, Galante, Martinique, and Porto Rico, via Bermuda, to which places the reduced key west rate will apply) ; fourpence per word to Centi al Amei ica, except theplaces hereinafter named ; 4d per word for ordinary telegrams. Following are the exceptions the rates shown in each case being those chargeable under the reduced scale:—Dominion of Canada, Columbia West, 4s 2d ; Columbia, British Clinton, One Hundred and fifteen Mile House, 4s 8d ; Alexandria, Barkerville, Lil lovet, One Hundred and Fifty Mile House, Pavilion, Queensvelle, Soda Creek, 4s 9d ; Blackwater, Fraser Lake,4s lid; Hazelton, Mauricetown, Pt. Simpson, Sheena, Canyon, Telegraph Cieek, 5s 4d; Atlin, 5s 9d ; Bennett, Frasier, Log Cabin, Pennington Summit, White Pass, 6s Id; all other places, Is 6d. North West Territories, Big Salmon, Cariboo, Cross Ring, Five Fingers, Fort Selkirk, Hootalinqua, Lower Labarge, Belwyn, Tagish, White Horae. 5s 9d; Cowley, (is Id; Dawson City, Forty Mile, Northern International Boundary, Ogilivie, Stewart River, 6s 2d ; all other places 4s 6d. United States, Alaska Glacier, Shops Skagway, 6s Id; Eagle City, Katcbumstock, Mantasta Pass, Tanana Junction, 6s 3d; Chesticbina, Copper Center, Port Liscan, Valdez, 6s Id ; Junear, 6s sd. The rates for Press telegrams to California, Illinois, and New York will be Is Bd, Is 64d, and Is 5d respectively.
