Invercargill Horse Market Messrs J. A. Mitchell and Co. report a good attendance of farmers and others interested, tho chief attractionjboing Mr Kelt’s racehorses, which, with one exception changed hands, at : Thoroughbred gelding, Tboki, 101 guineas ; trotter, Not Yet, 50 guineas; hurdler, Waikaia, 21 guineas. Berlin M. and Whisper were withdrawn, but the latter afterwards changed hands at a satisfactory figure. The trotting horse Archie brought £3O. There were nearly 40 draught and light horses entered, and for all sound, young draughts there was keen demand, several buyers failing to got supplied. We sold draughts at £lO to £46 for good, sound young animals, one nice 2-ye-ir old filly being withdrawn at £4O, another 2 yearold selling at £34 ; aged and inferior hard to place. L ; ght harness horses : Strong useful sorts, £lB to £25 10s, with good enquiry; ordinary, £lO to £l3; light and weedy difficult to quit even at low rates. They also report having hold their monthly horse sale at Winton on Friday, and had an entry of 35 horses, including a number of young draughts just out of work. For all of this class there was spirited demand, and nearly all the likely sorts changed hands at satisfactory prices. On account of Mr Alex. Proven we sold two draught colts, 4 and 5-year-old, at £46 and £45 respite lively; account Mr P. Hogan, a ready looking 4-year-old at. £44 ; account Mr Looney, a 6 year-old mare at £42, and on account Messrs Gorman, Andrews, Baird (2), Watt (2), Reid, Murphy, Kennedy, Hill, agnew, and others, useful draughts at from £3B to £32 ; hacks, to £lO.
