NOTE— Mails close at Auckland for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji on 3rd June ; for Ratatonga, Tahiti and Penhryn Islands on 17th June ; from Melbourne for Natal and Capetown on 4th June; for Natal and Capetown on 25th June : for Chatham Islands, at Lyttelton, on 31st inst., at 8 p.m. Note — Tuesday, 3rd June, Prince of Wales Birthday, being a Post Office holiday, mails advertised for despatch on that day will be closed at 8 p m. on Monday, 2nd June The town and suburban receivers will be cleared at 7 p.m. on 2nd There will be no delivery by letter carriers on 3rd, but instead a special delivery of correspondence will be made over the counter of the Post Office on Monday, 2nd, between the hours of 7 and 8 pm.
