Bowling Tournament.
Quite a large gathering of onlookers wit \ nessed the farst day's play on the local i greens. The weather was perfect and the | greens in capital order. M»ny of the games j were very closely contested, notably in the j matches Carswell v. Yates, Erskine v. McLaren, aud Wesney v. Craig, which pro- j duced specially interesting finishes. Play will be continued to-day, when the double i and singles are to be proeeded with, while on Monday the semi-finals and finals of I rinks and doubles will be fought out.
