Mr Barton, in reply, said he expected that a Resident would be appointed immediately. He did not favour a Customs agreement with New Hebrides, but was anxious to increase British influence by ail legitimate means. Received 17tb, 1.9 a.m. A woman (Fairlie) is plagued at CamperdowH. BRISBANE, March 16 Meyers' insurances amount to L 27,000, including L 4500 in the South British and L 4400 in the New Zealand insurance offices.
