Louie Botha is retiring eastward before Bruce Hamilton. He made several unsuccessful efforts to cross the Heilbron-Wolverhock blockhouse line, and 14 of his men were captured. Lord Roberts inspected, on Salisbury Plain, eleven hundred militia who are starting for South Africa.
