Major Hawkins' Trophy Competition
The final stage of the above competition was fired at Grasmere on Wednesday afternoon, under conditions which were as unfavourable as they could possibly be, the wind at times rising almost to a gale, and the light being very changeable. Sergt. Robinson proved to have the best aggregate, and is the winner of this handsome trophy, his score of 31 at 500 yards being a .cry good one. Very few of the country members laced the target, owing, possibly, to the unpromising morning and to some representatives not being back from Trentham. The fcix highest aggregates were : —
