Was Told He Had Consumption.

SCOTT'S EMULSION BROUGHT BACK HIS STRENGTH AND RESTORED HEALTH. One of tho mnqt peculiar things about the consumptive ia ihat he will never admit that he has consumption until in the last stages of the disease, when there is little hope of i his recovery. This hopefulness is a good thing, because it stimulates the desire for treatment, but Hie saddest phase is that many persons who have a tendency to consumption do not begin the right treatment until it is too late. Let us call your attention to a letter received from a gentleman whose condition was indeed most serious : — " Crosby, Doncaster, England, "February 13th, 1900. " Dear Sirs, — It gives me very much pleasure to let you know the great benefit I have derived from taking your preparation — Scott's Emulsion. I had been ill for twelve months, suffering from pleurisy and a weak chest, and during that time I had frequently to discontinue my employment.

I was under treatment for some time but did not derive any permanent benefit, and finally became so low and weak that I could scarcely get about, and was told I had consumption. On c day a friend told me I ought to try Scott's Emulsion, as he knew it would do me good, and I am thankful to say I took his advice. I soon found the prepartion was doing me good; my strength gradually returned, and at the end of two months' treatment I felt I was a new man ; and now at the end of six months I am thankful to say I am in good health and have not had to lose a day's work. I shall not fail to recommend Scott's Emulsion, as I have found it is a grand thing for building up the system, and it cannot oe too widely known. — Believe me, yours gratefully, "(Signed) Christopher Thistleton." In the case to which we have called your attention, the gentleman took a standard remedy which has been successful in overcoming the early stages of consumption for a quarter of a century. The result of his treatment he tells in his own language, and we cannot refrain from emphasizing the fact that he took Scott's Emulsion before it was too late. There is no doubt that many persons are born with this weak tendency and struggle with it all through their lives, for the simple reason that they never realise the importance of vitality, or know the way to acquire this resistive force of life. The only way in the world that persons having a tendency to consumption can overcome this tendency is to enrich the blood with tho substances that increase vitality, and thus enable Nature to permanently establish health in the place of weakness. Scott's Emulsion is the world-renowned Norway ood -liver oil rendered perfectly palatable and easy of digestion. In no other form can this oil be taken with such great benefit to the system, and it is, therefore, necessary to purchase only the genuine Scott's Emulsion. The plain cod-liver oil unnecessarily taxes the digestion and is not so readily absorbed as Scott's Emulsion. Scott's Emulsion easesthe coughing of a consumptive, and it gives to the entire system that rich blood without which health cannot hope to bo maintained. It gives force to the vital organs, strength to the lungs, and overcomes all the wasting tendencies. It is a specific for all throat and lung affections.
