GOOD OLD TIME BOXJRKE STREET SHOWER SYDNEY, Oct. 21. H.M.S. Lizard has returned from China and leaves for New Zealand after refitting. The Herald, commenting on the New Zealand House adopting proposals for intercolonial and Vancouver services, says Sydney is directly interested in them and the State will ba glad to give all possible help to New Zealand in the matter. MELBOURNE, Oct. 21. Nearly two inches of rain fell in half-an-hour last evening, flooding lowlying suburbs, in some instances to a depth of three feet.
