TUESDAY, 18111 DECEMBER. The National Mortgage and Agency Oo report ' having been in attendance at the fortnightly sale held in the Inveroarjfill Y»-ds this day. Stores met . with good sale, though prices were, if anything, a ' shade slaoker than list, sales. Sheep were poor y represented, both stores and fit, Dut what were forward changed hands at sitlafactory prices. Fat Sheep— Wethers, 17s Hi to 10) 9d ; ewe» and wethers, 17s to 18l 7(1]: ewtß, 13* 9d to 144 Gd ; lambs, 12i 6d to 14s. Store sheep-Ewes, with lambs, £l0s; do (all counted) 0s 6d to 0< lid; haggetj, U» to lfis ßd ; wethers (a good line in forward condition) 16s id. J. A. Mitchell and Co. report having been In at- c tendance at the Wallacetown acock sale th's day, - when there was rather a small entry (80) of fat i cattle. Stores were forward in large Dumber?, 403 t being yarded. Fat cattle, although mostly all sold, , were duller of sale than last sale. Youag stores, however, were in good request, especially growing cattle, < but dairy oowa *ere a drug, and a number of that ] class were withdrawn. We quote : - ( Bullocks— Best heavy, £lv for a pen of beauties ; ordinary, £6 to £8 10s ; cows and heifers, £6 to ' £7 We. Sheep— Only 73S penned, and for these competition ) was brisk, shorn welhere and maiden ewes bringing - from 15s to 10a Od ; do do in the wool, 16s 6d to 203 ; - shorn ewes, 17s to 11s lOd ; fat lambs, 14s, 13s Bd, and lls 3d ; hoggets In the wool, 19a 6d ; en-es and { lambs up to lls, all counted.
