Lord Methuen on Friday captured a Boer laager containing 1.">(K) cattle, "200U sheep, much ammunition, and a number of waggons. The Boers who fought at Magliesbe-rg subdivided their forces ami proceeded west and south. They released their prisoners, 'M7t of whom have arrived at Rustenburg. Dv Wet daringly ]< y d three attacks on Thabanchu, and finally escaped with tlie 'nilk of his followers. The commando asHiiultinu' Tlialiiiiidiu \ek were repulsed. Haasbrock's coiiiiuatidn, with tun guns, attacked Springkansdek, but were repulsed with tin: loss of 4<l men. Colonel Francis, of tin- New Zealand Rough Riders, has been presented to the Queen. Krugcr has accepted the freedom of tlie City of Limerick. Tho (^neen personally decorated Lieut. - Commander Colquhoun, of Victoria, with the Distinguished Service Order for bravery at Graspan.
