It is also desirable that passenger accommodation should be provided, and applicants will be required to state what passenger accommodation would be available. The steamers would be required to leave New Zealand about once every six (6) weeks ; steamers calling at noo less than three (3) nor more than six (6) Mew Zealand ports, aaoh ports to be named in conditiouß of contract. From the flonl port the steamers would proceed to Fremantlt, Weetralia, and thence to Durban, East London, Port tlizabetb and Capetown It is uecesrary that the draught of steamers when loaded should be stated, as it Is desirable that it should bo such aa would enable them to enter South African p->ru and proceed to the usual wharves. In computing the subsidy required it would bo a condition that the rates Of freight upon ail cargo should not exceed those ruling between the colony and London by the ordinaryetcamehip line*.
