Per Press Association". AUCKLAND, Nov. 2. The total received for the Patriotic Fund here was £6393, of which ±3002 was sent to London, leaving £3351 in the bank. The total received for the separate fund for N. Z. contingents was £1115 and after disbursements to invalided troopers and their relatives there is remaining £999. It was decided to co-operate with Dunedin in recognising the services of MrPilcher at Capetown. Jonathan Robertson and his wife were admitted to the hospital yesterday suffering from burns. Robertson woke up and found his wife's night-dress in flames which he extinguished. Their children's bed was also afire, but the children were saved. His hands were badly burned. Mrs Robertson died to-night. The original of the fire is unknown. WELLINGTON, Nov. 2. The Judges met this morning and decided, in consequence of the great increase of the work, to hold three sittings of the Appeal Court every year. Next year's dates weje fixed as March 18th, July Ist and October 28th. In order not to clash with the Canterbury regattas the Otago Regatta Committee has decided to postpone their regatta to the end of February. George Matheson, contractor, and James Still, labourer, working at Anderson's Bay yesterday, were covered by a sudden fall of earth. Matheson's fjot was crushed to pulp and had to be amputated. Still had his shoulder dislocated and was severely bruised about the face and body, but no serious developments are expected.
