Three months' bills are discounted at 4 percent. Consols 98f . Colonial securities — New South Wales 4 per cents, 116; 3£'s, 103; 3's, 100 ; Victorian 4's, 110 ; 3£'s, 104; South Australian 3£s, 107; 3's, 95; Queensland 4's, 109 ; 3£'s, 103£; New Zealand 4's, 112; 3j's, 106 ; 3's, 97£ ; Tasmanian 3£'s, 103£ ; West Australian 3s's, 103. Wheat — Mild weather and superabundant supplies cause falling markets in America, and have greatly depressed the English and Continental markets. The lighterman's strike is also severely hindering trade in London ; 30s 3d is asked for cargoes of prompt delivery.' Sugar is flat : German, 9s 6d per cwt; first marks granulated, 11s 3d. Butter barely maintains its position ; choicest colonial, 110s — few special lots to 112s ; Danish unchanged. Tin is firm : Spot, £127 15s per ton; three months, £125. No. 1 pig iron, f.o.b. on Clyde, 66s per ton. Silver, 2s sfd per oz. The Bradford wool market is improving : Common sixties, 17Jd; super, 18W. At the London sales prices are firm at the highest rates of the series The clips sold include Maaoupe 9fd, Patoka Bd, Acland 6fd.
