The Admiralty during the naval manoeuvres ordered thirty of Marconi's wireless telegraph instruments and messages were transmitted 10U miles. Several deaths in Glasgow are attributed to plague infection derived from the dooks. Forty persons have been isolated. Bressi maintained an attitude of indifference and declared that he acted alone, to avenge the acts of the authorities in Sicily and during the Milan bread riota. He was sentenced to perpetual imprisonment. Received 31st, 1.35 a.m. Obituary — Sir Saul Samuel, late Agent-General for New South Wales, in his 8()th year.
