The Harrismith-Natal railway, via Van Reenan'a Pass has been re-opened for traffic. A number of foreigners recently arrested in Johannesburg on suspicion of plotting against the British hare been released, and £50,000 found in their possession returned to them, though it is believed the Boers supplied the money to assist conspiracy. Private McCartney (Victoria) has died of wounds. Captain A. Hutson, who was slightly wounded, is doing well at Pretoria.
