WELLINGTON, Dec. 13.

In connection with the arrest of Myers Commissioner Tunbridge will send an officer to Monte Video by the Ruahine, which leaves on the 22nd inst., and he should reach that port on the 11th prox. The officer will take with him a copy of the extradition papers. Myers will probably have to be brought back via Loadon. The railway receipts between Ist April and 12th November exceed those for the corresponding period of last year by 1252,000. If the holiday and harvest traffic comes up to expectations the Department balievt s it will be able to show a most satisfactory result of the year’s working. The Government have received a cable stating that the absconder Myers had been arrested at Monte Video, on board the s.s. Maori, charged with forgery. WESTPORT, Dec. 13.
