Co ; 1350 dodo, Henderson and Batger ; 1327 do do, TothiU, Watson and Co; 95 do do, N Beed The Ketch Gratitude left Bluff on 23rd December, cleared the straits on Ist January, and arrived at the Macquaries on the 3rd inst., after a rough passage. After landing cargo and taking on board oil the ketch sailed for the Bluff on the 19th inst. Heavy weather was experienced on the run home. She has 20 tons of oil on board. The ship Zealandia took her .departure, for London yesterday. ... The barque Rangitiki is making good progress with the discharge of her cargo, and will sail for Dunedin towards the end of the week. The steamer Poherua sailed for Northern ports at 3 p.m. and the Talune for Dunedin at 6 p.m. yesterday. The death is announced of Mr Peter Denniston, shipowner, of Glasgow, two or three of whose vessels loaded at the Bluff during the past ten years. He was, we believe, a cousin of the late Mr Thomas Denniston of Invercargill. (By Trlkokath). Wellington, Jan. 25. The Union Steamship Company has (purchased ,in London a cargo steamer named the Ella, of a similar type to the Pukaki, to run in the produce trade between Bluff, Oamaru, Timaru and Auckland.
