Dunedin, Jan. 25.

The Conciliation Board sat to day to consider a dispute between the Dunedin Bakers and Pastrycooks’ Union and the master pastrycooks. The men ask (1) for an eight hours’ day, with double overtime bsyond that; (2) foremen to receive L 3 per week and second hand L2 10); (3) that no more than one apprentice be allowed to one or two mon, and no more than two boys in any bakehouse ; (4) that boys, after one or three months’ trial, shall be bound for a period of five years; (5) that pastrycooks shall stat t work on Saturday at 5 a.m. and finish at 1.30 p.m. ; (6) that Union men have preference for employment. The Board will give its decision to-morrow.
