Dsllveries by Letter Carriers are made daily— Town Delivery at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Suburban delivery at 9 a.m. MAILS WILL CLOSE AS FOLLOWS Monday, 3rd January For the United* Kingdom and the Continent of Europe, (via Brindisi), India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Aden, Egypt, and the Australian Colonies, per as. Waikare, at 1 p.m , Money Orders Registered Letters and Parcels at noon The English mail of this despatch will be due in London on 15th February Correspondence intended to be forwarded by this opportunity must be specially addressed via Brindisi Wkdnbsday, sth January For Fiji and Honolulu, Canada, United States of America, United Kingdom and the Continent of Europe via Vancouver per s.s. Warrimoo at 3.30 p.m Money Orders, Registered Letters at 2.30 p.m. The Warrimoo will leave Wellington on the Bth January and be due in London 10th February Thursday, 6th January. For Cromarty and Te Oneroa per s.s. Invercargill, at 9 a.m Noth— Mails close at Sydney for Noumea and Fiji on sth January. Note —New Year’s Day being a Post Office holiday, all mails advertised for despatch on that day will be closed at 8 p.m on Friday, the 31st inst There will be no delivery by letter carriers on New Year’s day, but, instead, a general delivery will bs made over the counter at the Post Office, on Friday, the 31st inst., between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m e ’ The suburban and town receivers will be cleared at 7 p.m on Friday, 31st inst On the Ist prox, the Telegraph office will only be open between the hours of 9 and 10 a.m and 7 and 8 p.m The Telephone Exchange will be open as usual O.
