Liquidation of the Colonial Bank

UNEXPECTED MOVEMENT. [By Telegraph]. Dunedin, June 11. An unexpected development has taken place in the Colonial B*nk liquidation case. Application will be made on Tuesday by William Brown, accountant, a contributory to the Colonial Bank, to peruse, at the office of the liquidators, the books and documents in their possession relating to the projected purchase by Messrs Lee Smith and Reid of certain debts and .securities of the b\nk, on the ground that the said William Brown is prepared to make an offer for the said debts and securities, and that such inspection is necessary bsfcre the court can determine the propriety of granting its sanction to any purchase.
