In the first innings of the Australians at Wembley Park JSpofforth disposed of Gregory, liitfen, Hili, and Donnan in five overs for two mns. Trumble batted vigorously. In the Englishmen's innings Giffen bowled Nepean, Perrin, and Raw Lin with three consecutive balls, and afterwards took Spofforth and Whitehead's stumps in five overs for five runs. The Australians' second innings closed for 131 rnn», Gregory being top scorer with 43. The Englishmen were all out for 37, and the Australians thus won by 135 runs. Received 10th, 7.30 p.m.

The attendance at the match to-day waa small. The weather was again 6ne, but the wicket was still heavy. The other scores on the Australian side were Giffen 11, Kelly 21. Spofforth again came out with a good analysis of 5 for 51, Rawlin took 3 for 11, Pickett 1 for 25, and Phillips 1 for 3. In the Englishmen's second innings Nepcan (12) was the only one who scored double figures. Trumble took 3 wickets for 16, and Trott 4 for IS.

Received 10th, 9.45 p.m. Kelly batted steadily for his run?. Gregory, whose wicket was the last to fall, played admirably on the unfavourable pitch, being in for two hour*. Spofforth bowled Hill and Iredale with successive balls. The batting of the Englishmen at their second attempt was of the feeblest description, and their innings only 1 anted an hour. The fielding was excellent, three men being run out.
