Australian SYDNEY, Aua. 13. The Government are appointing Mr Rogers, Q. 0., Mr Gregson (Australian Agricultural Company) and Mr Curley (secretary to the Northern Miners) a royal commission to enquire into the working of the collieries of the colony. HOBART, Aug. 13. Complications have arisen over the first prize in the Bank of Van Diemen’s Land lottery. The trustees have received an injunction restraining them from dealing with the prize to the extent of one-half, on the application of one Davis,of Perth, who claims a partnership with Smith, the holder of the winning ticket.
