Received 26th, 7.45 p.m. A thousand free labourers have offered thoir services to the Shipping Federation, which is opening registers for non- Union dockers. It is proposed, if the block continues in London, to employ free labourers only and lock out all Unionists. Glynn said that a profit had been realised sufficient to pay a dividend of 6 per cent., but it had been thought better to carry the whole amount forward to tbV end of the year. It had been decided not to appoint a permanent lojal board in Auckland. The most distinct signs of public confidence had beeu shown in the Bank, especially by the increase of deposits. Mr O'Brien has been served with a writ for L 17.000, being the amount of costs in his libel action against Lord Salisbury. The Agents-General intend to wait on Lord i Kuutsford to urge him to push on legislation in the matter of the investment of trust funds in colonial stocks. City influences are strongly hostile to the proposals. Received 26th, 8.15 p.m. Silver is worth 3s B^d. CALCUTTA, Feb. 25. Received 26th, 8 p.m. A British column has captured Wimth, in Burniiih, killing 50 of the Tsawbwa's followers. The casualties to the victors numbered 13.
