Reaper and Binder Trial.

(By Telegraph). AsHBtTRTON, Jan. 20. A competitive field trial of reapers and binders under the auspices of the Ashburton A. and V. Association, was held yesterday in a crop of Tuscan wheat, each machine having about three acres and a half to cut. The maximum number of points obtainable was 90, and the McCormick machine was adjudged the winner with 84 points, Brantford second, with 72 ; and Buckeye third, with 70. The other machines competing were Masaey, 69 ; Hoinsby, 65 ; Deering, 56; Howard, 29; and Woods' single apron and three apron ; the larter two not remaining in the ground till the conclusion of the cowpctitioo.
