Received, 6th, 1.10 a.m. In the Assembly this afternoon, Mr Dibba, leader of the Opposition, gave notico of hia intention to move on Tuesday nextjtbattbiaAssemblyiaof opinion thatthe Government have failed to carry out their pledge with regard to financial policy, and that an immediate reviaion of the t&riff is necessary with a view to the imposition of duties of a protective character. The Premier intimated that the Government accepted the motion as one of want of confidence, acd the Assembly immediately adjourned. Tne Attorney- General, after hearing the Magistrate's explanation, has decided not to lake any further etepa in the case of Themas, the defaulting teller of the Bank of New Zoaland, wbo waa sentenced to six months' imprisonment on Tuesday.
