On July 27th she met with a terrifio typhoon, a mountainous sea flooding the decks and causiug some damage. Thb bad weather caused delay, and sho had to pnt into Nonmea last week for coal. She has a full cargo of tea, sugar, and rice ; fqr Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and i Dunedin, and seven Chinese passengers. j

All her craw were Buffering from the effects of drinking impnre water, and Captain Gadigard and three or the crew died after the arrival of the vessel. Thn body of Sargent, chief cook of tbe sunken steamer Ceateiiuial, has been found in the galley.
