« [By Teleqeaph.J (from our own correspondent.) Wellington, Aug. 26. A meeting of members favourable to- the Dtago Central railway was held to-day. Fourteen were present; Mr Pyke in the ;hair. Resolutions were carried requesting ;he Government to proceed with the bill, or f that could not be done to go on with the me in any other way. Mr Thompson, of Vlarsden, offered to support the line if the )tago members would support the Puhipuhi iramway.
