Shocking Tram way Accident

(By Telegraph.) DUNEDIN, Sept. 19. A yonng man named fjenry D, Plante was killed on the Boslyn cable tramway this evening. It is supposed that he was walking up the line through the cutting on the town belt, and tbe wind being strong and dust blowing that he was stooping so much that he did not see a tram car coming down which ran over him. He was taken to the hospital and died shortly afterwards. The young man was a compositor in the Witness office. His parents are believed to be in Timaru. Jjater. It appears that the parents of Plante are dead, It is his uncle who is in Timaru. From further information it appears that Plante was caught by a gust of wmd just as be was emerging from the cutting, and before be could recover himself he was blown on the line and struck by the car. He had been walking alongside the line.
