Bhsjimss Notices . TO OUR CUSTOMEI^. We ha?e to tender our most sincere thanks to the large proportion of oar old credit customers for the kind and ready way with which they have fallen in with our^new PROHPT CASH SYSTEM. The system we are following is simple. Oar buying arrangements in London enable us to get goods direct from the manufacturers at their lowest prices, securing all the trade and cash discounts. Thece goods we sell to the public here at low rates of profit and for CASH ONLY. We are fully satisfied that the nsnal credit method of managing colonial retail trades is equally bad for fche public and the trader, and we are also fully satisfied that the low prices rendered possible by the CASH SYSTEM will soon render the great saving so apparent to buyers, that a constantly increasing trade will be attracted to us. Every parcel of goods that leaves our shop at our new prices is an advertisement of the best character for us, and we are fully determined to keep every foot of ground we gain. As an increasing turo over renders lower profits possible, lower profits will be taken. The nevr prompt cash policy is not " how much we can get for the goods," but " how cheap we can sell them." It appears that a wedding breakfast 1 was being partaken of at which some thirty persons sat down. A few I hours afterwards several began to sbow symptoms of having been poisoned. In a short time after twenty were stricken down and writhing in ] agony. Dr Knowles, from Inverell, was soon in attendance, and is doing all he can for the sufferers. A later telegram states that traces of arsenic had been discovered in the tea leaves, It might be worfcb mentioning that the cbief articles used for the adulteration of cheap Teas are Rose Pink, Arsenic P*Bte, Sulphate of Iron, Verdigris, Dutch Pink, &c. Avoid drinking cheap and inferior Teas so largely forced on the public at present, as the above shows it is injurious to health and dangerous to life. Drink LINDSAY & CO.'S pure blended Teas. They are guaranteed to be pure. If you wish to enjoy a good cup of tea ask for LINDSAY & CO.'S pure blended. The only bouse in town that I deals absolutely in Tea. !
