Birch (on behalf of the National Mortgage and Agency Co. of New Zaland, Limited), ,p^^rta for the week ending lOtk June as !OIIOWBJ-i Deliveries of grain to the Blaff during the week have been on a very limited scale as compared wiihthote of a few weeks ago. This, we tilink. is partly due to the fact that a greater por ion of this year's grain ha 3 been already delivered and partly to tbe inipaspable Btate of the roa J s in the surrounding districts. Wlv-at Btill continues firm, and as there ar* only a few parcels of milliog offe ing a s ight rise in values may be looked for in the course of a fe-y weeks when miners bepin to reduce their Btocke a little. At present quotations remain at 3s 5d to Ss 7d per bushel for prime milling delivered at thetniJ«; chick wheat, scarce, 2a 4dto2s6d per bushel on trucks at ~ajside Ftations. Oats — Prices remain firm at last quotation?, viz., bright milliDg and go. d short feed, Is .'»•! to Is 4d on trucks at couitry stations ; but the 1 vck of storage room at Bluff puts a stop to any e^teneive speculation. We i.eld * large pale of sbeep at Baystvater ou2nd ir.st. The a tendance of buyers was 1 .rge. The bidding throughout waf> excesdiigly spirited, and as will be seen below tbe p-ices 'obtained were very satisfactory. The Hew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report for the week ending 10th June, as follows :— Wheat— Prospects for this cereal continue good. Very little is on offer at present, holders being generally disposed to wait for a rise. Millers being snppVed for the meantime "vy ill not pay higher figures than have been rnliny lately. "We quote prime milling velvet, 3s 8d ; Tuscan and red straw, 3a 7d ; medium, 3s od to 3s Od delivered. Oats — A large intercolonial business has been done in oats since the opening of the season. and the inquiry from Melbourne continues fairly active, A very large business is also doing with Sydney, and exports from Blnff have up to this point been on a heavier scile than during corresponding period last season. There is no alteration in values ef farmers' lots coming over the line. These are, however, becoming scarce. Quotations for forward delivery parcels, ex store, are rather firmer, the prospects .of the market being considered fairly good. Barley— There is still a demand for really prime malting samples for export, but hardly any is offering, feed and milling sorts are not in request. Ryegras3 Seed— Undressed lots are simply unßaleable, and the inquiry for machine-dreseed is much weaker, the latter is worth about 2s 0d f.o.b. Cockßf oot— Good lots are rather scare, and prices for Akaroa parcels are ruling higher, considerable quantities of best quality having been taken for lion'fon. od to 5Jd per lb, ex etore, is asked for Akaroa seed. The horses were rather dull of sale, being scarcely the sort now in demand for shipment. They were all unbroken, though perfectly qaiet to handle, undoubtedly welbred and showing nice quality ,bnt wanting in size. W« noticed several well-fcnown buyers present, bnt they were evi-leotly not to their fancy. Mr B isatimr purchased two very nice four-year-old fillies at £17 and £18 respectively. Mr J.
