A meeting of creditors in this estate was hold in' the Courthouse yesterday ; the Deputy Assignee (Mr R. Macleod) presiding. According to the debtor's statement his liabilities — all unsecured — wern L 2748 3s 2d, and his assets, consisting of household furniture and effects, L2O, leaviag a deficiency of L 2728 ;/>-: 2d. Since then he had bor--10 ved LI6OO odd from bis father and spent it on improvements. He furnished a statement showing that he had made heavy losses through the depreciation of stock and property.—^The meeting then adjourned till the 13th inst. to enable the Assignee to make up a statement of the dfibtor's affairs.
