Information Wanted.

SlE,— About three months ago subscription lists were handed around among the railway hands in aid of the widow and orphans of the late John Cowley, the victim of the crane accident at the running ahed, in Invercarg 11 station, in February laßt, and somewhere about LfiO wag, I believe, collected. A? a subscriber I have been wondering why the widow had not acknowledged the money, bnt on mentioning the matter casually to another subscriber, I was astonished to learn that she had not, up to within the last few days, received the money at all. Now, sir. as no one had any right to retain the money thus collected, why was it not at once handed over 1 lam sure the subscribers were nnder tbe impression this wouid be done ; and 1 hope a. satisfactory explanation of the matte* will be made public. — I am, &c, Justice.
