WAIHOPAI.

The attendance of householders at the election meeting was only moderate. Mr T. S. Royd 8 presided. Tbe retiring committee reported that since the present teacher had taken office there had b^en a considerable increase in the attendance but that financially matters were not favourable. Tbe following gentlemen were elected aa the committee for the year, viz : — Messrs T. S. Royds, John Sponce, Henry Norris, George Cooper, George Ham, S. H. Moreton. and Wm. Petiigrew, Regret was expressed at the remissness of parents ia faiimg to pay tbe sum charged for stationery, as the result waa to leave the committee in monetary difficulties. At the first meeting of the committee Mr John Speace was re-appointed chairman, and Mr Wm. Pettigrew secretary.
