The Late Mr Watson.

TO THE EDITOR, Sib, — I was much pleased with the let' ter signed " Citizen" which, appeared in the News of Friday last. I quite agree with all he said, and 1 feel quite sure the business people of lovercargill will as one man act on his suggestion, and close tbeir respective places of busine«B on the afternoon of the day of the late Mr Thomas Watson's funeral — say, from 2to 4 o'clock. It would be but a fitting tribute to the memory of one who was so much respected, and who hai been identified with the town since its earliest days —I am, &c, Storekeeper, 13th Nov., 1886.
