William Hosking, a labourer auaployed at Ripa Island fortifications, died last night from injuries received by a fall of earth on Thursday last. DUNEDIN, Oct. 16. A stable, with two horses, belonging to O'Donnell and McCormack, Frederick street, was destroyed by fire this morning. The stable was insured for L3O with tha Norwich Union, and the horses for LSO in the New Zealand. Dr Ooughtrey's house, which was slightly damaged, is insured in the Norwich Union.
