The Lind Board adjourned on account of the death of Mr W. Ar;hur, Chief Surveyor, nnd forwarded a lutti r of condolence to his widow. Tho funeral was largely attended.
At the annual meeting of (he New Zealand R ;frigfirating Company a report declaring a 10 per cent, dividend wag adopted. During tho year 77,370 ehecp and lambs and 4fi hul'ocks had been frozen, best fee 12,303 slaughtered and frozen on board vessels. The Oarnaru branch increased this by 39,875, making a total of 129,518 sheep handled. The chairman, Mr Roberts, regretted that only about 80 sheep owners had availed themselves of tho trade, and quoted from his own shipments to show thnt continuous shipments paid. The retiring directors, Messrs Roberts and Brydone, were reelected.
