Reply to Calipers.
TO THE BDITOB. SIE, I gaw'a letter appearing in this paper of the Ist inst,, signed by one "Calipers." I see that he does not care about tLe training wall being opened to let the vessels in. I suppose he is afraid they might do som6 injury to that precious boat of his. I wonder what " Calipers" knows about dredging. I think if he was to mind his o«m business and ■tick to his brush and pen he might do batter. And he has also the impudence to blame the Town Engineer. I think " Calipers" made a great mistake when he did not stand for the last engneering elejtion, for he would surely have got the appointment, aud then, Mr Editor, would we not have a grand harbour, and goodness knows what else — I am, &c, Common Sense.
