TO THE EDITOR. SIB,— -The report in your issue of the Uth in»t., of the case Thorn :on v. Wilson, in ihe B.M Court, being somewhat inaccurate, permit vie to supply the following corrections and explanations ;— Ho girl whatever has ever-lived in my house as the report states she did. ■ The person referred to was standing at the front of the boose, and not near a tree: The reference to the mistletoe came from the Bench, who humorously enqairea — «• There was no mistletoe, Mr Wilson V " Oh, yes, your Worship;" I replied, «• there are lbts of it in the trees close around." Every one smiled, and that piece of mud mifsed • the mark. In jußtice to William Baud, who is a reVpectable and industrious man, 1 must mention that we were fully prepared to rebut all the charges, including- bleeding, screarb- - inz and all the other histrionics brought ' against -him, but the other side collapsftd prematurely. Trumped-up cha;ges may b'a made against any. one ; and if matters progress at -. the present rate, we might as well live under the Irish Land League.— law, &c, .; J. Logan Wilson.
