Gregg, L2B ; A/Hennessy (barmaid), L2s ; ; Lewis and Co., LlO ; W. E. Heywood, Lls ; M. .Griffihy Lsj J. Hare, L 3 ; D. Roche, L 4; Kiogaland" and Sons, L 3; sundry accounts, Lls- Tb.e.rasaets were set down at L 363, consisting of sections 16, 17 and 18, block 47, TnVercargill, and. four sections in Powelltown, valued at L 750, but subject to a mortgage to Mr Clifton of L 60 0; Tramway Co . shares, L2O ; section at nightcaps, Lls ; and bills for collection at the Bank of Australasia, Ll7B. , : I ; The Chairman, Mr W. Lewis, read a letter from a firm of Dunedin solicitors, stating that the debtor had been reluctantly compelled to file his schedule on account of some of his creditors pressing him. Mr McMenamin stated that the sections 16,17 and 18,block47,Invercargill,had been sold to him by the bankrupt for L2OO, and he had paid a deposit of LIOO on them. The debtor had afterwards given a mortgage over them to another person. Mr McMenamin made a strong statement as to the poßJtion in which he was informed the debtor had placed himself by this action. Mr Gregg characterised the transaction in equally severe terms. It was resolved to instruct the trustee to take steps to compel the debtor to attend the next meeting for examination.
